The DongFeng-11 (DF-11, also known as M-11 in its export name, NATO codename CSS-7) is a single-stage, solid-fuel, mobile, short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile built in the People????s Republic of China (PRC), originally developed as an export project by CASIC Sanjiang Space Group, but later adopted by the PLA as a tactical theatre missile. The missile resembles certain features of the Soviet/Russia SS-1C Scub-B, but is said to be of better performance. The missile is launched from a Wanshan WS2400 8X8 cross-country transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicle. The improved variant is DF-11A, which is also known as DF-11 Mod-2.
