| To my knowledge, Stalin was in love with Packard>s designs, so several russian cars from the era were based stylistically on Packards. ZIS-110, for instance looks like 1941 Packard 180. Chaika looks a whole lot like 1955 Packard Caribbean. For anybody interested in american auto design, I can suggest "Classic American Convertibles" by James Flammang. For history behind ZIL-111, check out Shugurov>s 1st tome of "Avtomobili Rossii i SSSR". Max |
