Quality of Some Alternations

Sergey,

I have to agree with you that many models (one could use quotes here if one likes) are painted in the color schemes that do not exist in the real life or are very inacurate.

It is interesting that you>ve mentioned the Moscow Polie Ford Crown Victoria. I saw one of such models made from a white RoadChamps Police car and a US-made set of decals. It looked very nice, except the Russian letter "G" was replaced with a Latin letter "r" in a larger font... That was more of an error, or a shortcut taken by a decal manufacturer who does not know cyrillic fonts versus the modifications of AGAT/Tantal models that are painted in non-existing schemes for "marketing" purposes.

A good example are the Military Police vehicles. I have a copy of the General Staff order describing the standart liveries of Military Police vehicles. Interesting enough, they are supposed to be BLUE, not green or camouflaged. I then checked my collection and found two older models (UAZ-452 and UAZ-469) that were made exactly to these specs.

I am trying to remember now what was the paint scheme of such vehicles in the real life (not all orderes were followed literally), but I am having problems with it...

I would be glad to continue this discussion.

Best wishes,
Alex Antonov
